Job Title: Fire Door Inspector (Mental Health Facilities)

Job Overview: Kingsway Group is seeking a diligent and skilled Fire Door Inspector to join our team, focusing exclusively on mental health wards. The role requires conducting comprehensive fire door inspections and enhanced anti-ligature checks to Kingsway Specialist Doorsets to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance. While the position is primarily regional, occasional travel to other regions will be necessary to support our nationwide operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform enhanced anti-ligature checks to prevent ensure life saving systems and hardware fitted to the doors are working as expected and no ligature risks have developed.
- Carry out minor remedial works whilst carrying out surveys to fix immediate issues where possible.
- Perform commissioning checks after initial installation of doorsets in accordance with Kingsway installation guidelines.
- Document inspection findings on the Bolster software system and prepare reports for clients
- Work with installation/remedial works teams to ensure remedial works are booked in and sufficient detail provided to allow efficient rectification.
- Occasionally travel to different regions to provide additional support as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Trade background ideally from Joinery, Facilities Management, Mechanical & Electrical, or Light Engineering.
- Experience of working within Hospitals is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working with Bolster software platform is desirable.
- Valid CSCS card or sufficient qualifications to obtain one.
- Current DBS check or no restrictions to obtaining one.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Excel and Word.
- Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Full UK driving licence.
