Overview
We are seeking a skilled and innovative PFP Engineer (fire stopper)to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Passive fire protection and have a good knowledge of fire stopping standard details and how to follow them. would ideally have a passion for problem-solving. As an Engineer, you will be responsible for reading, following, and implementing standard detail solutions that meet the needs of our clients and enhance certified fire protection solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within commercial industry schools, airports, shops and hospitals and also collaborate with cross-functional teams. Will also be involved with sprinkler installation team where required and option to learn and progress within both sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand fire stopping standard details from multiple product manufacturers and be able to implement these details on site.
  • Read and follow method statements and risk assessments working in a safe manor.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective certified solutions.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including reports, specifications, and technical drawings. (will require ability to work on software on tablet/smartphone)
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.
  • Keep material stock levels at appropriate levels.
  • Assist in the training of junior engineers or interns if required.

Requirements

  • LV2 NVQ in Passive fire protection
  • Proven experience in an PFP role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
  • Able to use a mobile device.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations is advantageous.
  • Clean DBS to enable to get a pass for airports.
  • Driving license to be able to get to and from jobs.
  • Willingness to travel as work can be nationwide (majority of work in London)
  • CSCS card
  • IPAF (Desirable)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £18.00-£36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
