About the Opportunity

If you have experience in food quality, food safety or auditing and are looking for a flexible role where your work really matters, this could be a great fit for you.

At Audit Point, we help clients across the food industry maintain high standards through trusted, independent inspections. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in attention to detail and wants to be part of a supportive, professional team.

Why Join Audit Point?

Audit Point is trusted by food industry leaders and hospitality operators across the UK. Our work helps clients improve quality, strengthen compliance and protect customer safety — and every inspection we carry out makes a meaningful difference.

The Role

We are looking for a Food Quality Control Inspector to support supply chain clients across East Kilbride and Cumbernauld area. This is a hands-on, part-time role suited to someone who is organised, reliable and confident working across different sites. As the role involves travel between multiple sites, you will need to own a vehicle and hold a full UK driving licence.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out inspections of fresh and prepared produce in distribution centres, often in chilled environments
  • Assess quality against client specifications, including size, freshness, condition, packaging and weight
  • Record inspections and non-conformances accurately using our digital inspection app
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients and site managers
  • Travel to multiple locations each week and represent Audit Point professionally
  • Work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

What we're looking for

You will ideally have a background in food, quality, safety or hospitality, supported by relevant practical experience or qualifications. We would especially love to hear from people with experience in:

  • Food quality, technical or food safety teams
  • Auditing, inspection or compliance roles
  • Catering or hospitality operations
  • Fresh produce, meat or food production environments
  • Chef or catering roles with a strong focus on quality and hygiene

You’ll also need

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using mobile technology for reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your schedule
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • The right to work in the UK

Pay and Benefits

  • £13.00 per hour
  • Mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile for travel beyond your base location
  • Company NEST pension and statutory holidays (pro rata)
  • Full training and all equipment provided
  • Average of 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Opportunities for development and increased hours as our client base grows
  • Primarily based in East Kilbride and Cumbernauld, with occasional additional work in the Bathgate area

Ready to Apply?

If you are looking for a flexible, hands-on role where your expertise will directly support food quality and safety, we would be delighted to hear from you.
