Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an efficient and reliable Storeperson/Delivery Driver to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for managing the store and delivering flowers and food orders to our customers. You will be tasked with unloading the lorry and then storing the different types of produce away. This role is full time and approx 38 hours a week

Duties

  • Safely operate a van or commercial vehicle to deliver products to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods, including heavy liftings
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure safety standards are met
  • Communicate clearly with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries
  • Help with fruit and vegetable packing during busy periods

Qualifications

  • Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record
  • Forklift experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with other staff members
  • Knowledge of local area
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
