Food Delivery Van Driver – Temp to Perm

Location: Newtownards
Pay Rate: £13.77 per hour
Job Type: Temporary with potential to become permanent
Start Date: Immediate

Job Overview

GenTech Recruitment is currently recruiting Food Delivery Van Drivers for a busy operation based in Newtownards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced driver looking for ongoing work, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Food Delivery Van Driver, you will be responsible for delivering food products safely and efficiently to customers across an allocated route.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out deliveries of food products to customers.
  • Load and check orders before leaving the depot.
  • Complete deliveries accurately and within scheduled timeframes.
  • Load and unload products safely.
  • Ensure products are handled carefully and delivered in good condition.
  • Complete delivery paperwork as required.
  • Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
  • Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Follow all Health & Safety and food-handling procedures.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous van driving or delivery experience preferred.
  • Multi-drop delivery experience would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable with manual handling and loading/unloading.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
