About the role:

The Corporate Intelligence (CI) team, part of the Cyber & Forensics business unit, delivers investigative research to help clients assess risks linked to third parties, acquisitions, partnerships, and other business relationships. Using public records and discreet source enquiries, the team provides insight to support strategic decision-making. The role suits individuals with strong research skills, an investigative and sceptical mindset, and excellent communication abilities. It is primarily research-focused, though it also includes administrative responsibilities. Some travel may be required for client-site work. Overall, it offers graduates and professionals the chance to contribute to complex, high-impact projects for a global client base. A degree, postgraduate qualification or relevant demonstrable experience is required.

We currently have two open positions to join the team:

A linguist who can conduct research in Chinese; and A dual linguist who can conduct research in at least two of the following languages (Portuguese, Polish, Arabic, Italian, German, French or Spanish).

What your days will look like:

  • Research of public domain information in one or more languages including research of corporate registers, media databases, litigation records and other open-source material

  • Management and tasking of third parties making human source enquiries

  • Report drafting and various ad hoc administrative tasks as required

  • Providing business development support to the CI management team

This role is for you:

  • Native speaking, or fluent in written, able to translate and conduct advanced research in Chinese or at least two of the following languages (Portuguese, Polish, Arabic, Italian, German, French or Spanish)

  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively

  • Strong analytical skills and confidence evaluating complex information to identify key issues and wider implications

  • Meticulous attention to detail, balanced with the ability to step back and assess the bigger picture

  • Innovative and eager to learn, with an interest in new technologies and creative client solutions

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
