We're currently looking for a Senior Investigations Officer on a full time, permanent basis.

This position sits within the Regulation & Conduct Department. The role is based in London but we operate a remote first approach to working.

The Job

Reporting to an Assessment & Investigations Manager, on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

  • Investigating complex complaints about professional conduct
  • Reviewing and analysing documentary evidence
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Drafting clear and detailed reports of findings and decisions
  • Drafting Consent Orders and Reports of Disciplinary Allegations
  • Exercising strong case and time management skills
  • Preparing associated bundles for Reports and hearings

The Person

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is a professionally qualified accountant with at least five years' post qualification experience including audit work. Specialist investigatory or forensic accountancy experience would be an advantage
  • Has experience of making decisions on cases independently and articulating reasons in writing
  • Has knowledge of the framework in a professional regulatory environment and an understanding of regulatory and operational risk
  • Is interested in unravelling (sometimes voluminous) facts and information and identifying the key issues demonstrating excellent attention to detail
  • Is happy to work autonomously and is self-motivated to progress their own case load to meet KPIs.
