About us

The Oxford Nursery is a small chain of family run daycare centres located in Summertown and Eynsham that was established in 1996. We pride ourselves in having staff, children and families from all different backgrounds and cultures.

For this role you will deliver high quality engagement with children and offer them the opportunities and footing to develop. It is essential that you are able to adhere to and maintain our policies to ensure the safety of both yourself and those around you. As a member of The Oxford Nursery you will support the observation and assessment process where your voice will be heard and input included with our planning and curriculum topics.

We value our relationships with our parents and it is important that you are able to liase with parents daily about their child's progress, maintain children's records and encourage new children settling in.

Our nurseries are busy enjoyable places to be and it is essential that you are flexible and willing to enhance yourself by gaining further training and seek personal development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and provide activities for children in a playful and stimulating environment.
  • Assist in the development of children's social skills and self-confidence.
  • Facilitate the child's development of play skills and creativity.
  • Counsel parents.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment.
  • Create and maintain an effective relationship with families.,.
  • Ensure all food hygiene/handling procedures are followed.
