Front End Developer jobs in Manchester

We are an established agency with 20 years experience based in the north west, doing amazing things with React (Next.js), React Native (Expo) coupled with Headless CMS, as well as maintaining legacy websites build on Wordpress & Magento. We're an easy going and a relaxed team that value great design, well written code and having fun. We also work hard and pride ourselves on being flexible enough to deliver products to our customers in a fast and efficient manner.

We're looking for someone to join our team, learn the ropes whilst delivering high quality polished products.

You'll Need To Have Experience With

• Developing websites using HTML, CSS and Javascript

It Would Be Great If You Had Experience With

• Wordpress, setting up and maintaining Wordpress environments
• Experience with Workflow automation tools like Gulp, Grunt or Webpack to automate aspects within the project ( a smart developer always does as little as necessary ) - why write 500 lines of code, when you can write 100
• A mobile-first approach
• A keen eye for detail and like your work to be pixel perfect (we understand that this wont come instantly, but looking for the drive to achieve this)
• Experience with Figma / Sketch or similar
• Experience with Expo, React, React Native (These are the tools we primarily use within our agency, having experience working with these is a big bonus)
• Experience communicating with clients
• Understanding of Website performance and its importance, being able to audit and improve website markup / functionality to build faster websites

You'll Be Cool If

• Have a good knowledge of best practices, new technologies and trends
• You have a keen interest in technical seo, ecommerce, mobile applications, marketing and design

You'll Be Doing Things Like

• Working with new and existing customers to help them build their visions, ranging from Mobile applications to progressive web apps.
• Working from in-house designs to create awesome websites
• Learning the latest front-end technologies and standards to ensure we are always using the best techniques possible
• Collaborating with other disciplines across engineering, UX, and marketing to help develop front-end solutions to merchant problems

Hybrid Working, mix between office and home working. In the office 3 days a week.

Pay: £35,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
