Full job description

We are currently recruiting Experienced Food Production Operatives, on a full-time, permanent basis, to join our NIGHTSHIFT team in Bellshill (ML4 3NP).

The shift pattern will be 4 nights working, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights 7.30pm - 6am, 40 hours per week.

As we are looking for individuals who will work across Production and Packing areas, previous experience in a food production and / or manufacturing of food products (bakery or other food factory) is essential to allow you to carry out your duties.

Your main job role is to ensure all our products are made and packed according to specification and the highest quality standards whilst ensuring all working practices are safe and hygienic at all times.

What you will be doing:

  • Adhere to product specifications and quality documents, ensuring high quality at all times;
  • Knowledge of weighing up ingredients, mixing, proving, baking of products in line with specifications;
  • Ensure all bakery procedures are followed;
  • Ability to read & understand written production instructions;
  • Must have ability to operate at or above speed of production line;
  • Boxing, labelling and palletising finished product;
  • Accurate paperwork and recording of information.
  • To always help in other areas where needed.

What we can offer:

  • Rate of pay is £14.13 rising to £14.72 an hour on successful completion of probation with an additional attendance bonus in place where you have full monthly attendance.

Requirements we need:

  • It is essential that you have experience of Food Production within a Factory Environment.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
  • Good attention to detail & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and also as part of a team
  • To be reliable, punctual and responsible with a flexible approach to work
