Garden Centre jobs in Swarkestone

We require a supervisor to work in our busy garden centre. General duties will be serving customers, pricing and display of stock, keeping the garden centre tidy etc, working mainly in the garden shop but also the plant area sometimes.

But the successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising junior staff, cashing up, ordering stock, opening and closing of the garden centre and other managerial duties in the absence of the manager. This is a great opportunity to get a foot on the managerial ladder within the thriving garden centre sector.

Some garden centre work experience would be preferable but not absolutely necessary. The position does sometimes involve helping to lift heavy items.

This is a full time permanent position of 30-39 hours a week, there could be some flexibility in hours but you will be required to work alternate weekends on a rota and most bank holidays in the Spring.
