Full job description

We’re a family-run garden centre and nursery based in South Derbyshire, looking for enthusiastic plant loving people to join us.

If you enjoy sharing your knowledge and passion with customers to give them the confidents to create beautiful gardens and houseplants displays, we want to talk to you!

Our Plant Area is home to a wide variety of herbaceous perennials, shrubs, alpines, trees, fruit and house plants.

Candidates must have strong horticultural knowledge and practical experience, be able to demonstrate a very high level of plant knowledge and customer service.

We pride ourselves on giving our customers advice that we believe in and the personal interaction you don’t get from the internet.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and watering plant stock. Jobs to include weeding, pruning, deadheading etc.
  • Maintaining a strong and up-to-date horticultural knowledge
  • Striving to satisfy customer expectations including assisting customer with advice and carrying products to cars
  • Merchandising and creating visual displays to help sell products
  • Processing new delivered stock using our EPOS system
  • Work is fast-paced environment
  • Requires manual handling
  • General housekeeping and any other duties required by management

Hours

Working full time.

Sunday (9.30-4.30)

Monday – Thursday (9am- 5.30pm)
