Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Garden Centre Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and organisation of our outdoor retail environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that the garden centre remains inviting, safe, and well-presented for customers. This position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant retail setting, supporting the overall customer experience through effective cleaning and upkeep. hours are 8am to 10am Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning of indoor and outdoor areas, including pathways, display areas, and customer walkways
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant displays, pots, and gardening tools
  • Ensure waste is regularly collected and disposed of appropriately
  • Clean and sanitise customer facilities such as toilets and refreshment areas
  • Keep outdoor furniture, benches, and signage tidy and presentable
  • Assist with organising stock displays to ensure a neat appearance
  • Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or hazards within the centre

Experience

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, sweepers, or specialised cleaning tools is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Organised with good attention to detail to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to a high standard
