What's the job?

You'll support the Growing Managers across all aspects of crop production, learning how a large-scale commercial growing operation works while developing your own technical knowledge and responsibility.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Monitoring irrigation, EC, pH, drain and drip water performance
  • Using and managing PRIVA
  • Crop walking and monitoring plant health
  • Implementing pest and disease management programmes
  • Assisting with biological controls and crop protection
  • Supporting in and overseeing planting programmes
  • Monitoring crop quality and environmental conditions
  • Maintaining growing records and supporting traceability requirements

Working closely with colleagues across growing, production and planning teams and as you develop, you'll take on greater responsibility for decision-making, crop performance and planning activities.

What do I need?

  • A horticulture, agriculture or related qualification
  • Ideally, you'll have commercial growing experience
  • A genuine interest in crop production and commercial horticulture
  • PA1 and PA6 are desirable, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • A practical, hands-on approach
