Full job description

Moorstead is a new local home and garden service in Adlington. We're looking for reliable, practical people to join our panel of self-employed helpers across Adlington, Chorley, Coppull, Whittle-le-Woods, Horwich, Blackrod and the nearby villages.

What the bookings involve

  • Garden: mowing, hedges, borders, leaf clearance and seasonal tidy-ups.
  • Odd-jobs: flat-pack, shelves, curtain poles, minor repairs, the jobs on the list.
  • Ground-level and single-storey work only. No roof work, ever.

How it works

  • You're self-employed. Bookings are offered to everyone on the panel who covers that village, and you accept the ones that suit you. Turning one down carries no consequence.
  • £20 an hour, invoiced weekly or fortnightly through a simple self-billing arrangement. We do the marketing, the booking and the payment chasing.
  • No minimum hours. Fit it around whatever else you do.

What you'll need before your first booking

  • A Basic DBS check (£20, applied for yourself on GOV.UK)
  • Public liability insurance of £2m (typically around £80–£150 a year)
  • Right to work in the UK (checked in person)
  • For odd-jobs: an asbestos awareness course (about £24–£36 online)
  • Your own basic tools

We'll point you in the right direction with each of these.

Next step: apply in 3 minutes at moorstead.co.uk/join, then pick a time for a 30-minute coffee and chat at Blended Coffee Lounge, Adlington.

Pay: £20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
