Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join my clients team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves hands-on work in various gardening tasks, ensuring that their gardens and outdoor spaces are well-maintained, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will utilise both hand tools and power tools to perform their duties effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and weeding.
  • Plant, cultivate, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants.
  • Irrigate gardens and landscapes to ensure optimal growth conditions.
  • Operate and maintain power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of garden layouts.
  • Monitor plant health, identifying pests or diseases and taking appropriate action.
  • Maintain cleanliness of garden areas by removing debris and litter.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve landscaping goals.

Experience

  • Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening tasks.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and techniques for effective watering.
  • Ability to operate power tools safely within a garden environment.
  • Understanding of plant growth cycles and care requirements is advantageous.
  • A strong work ethic with attention to detail in all gardening activities.
