Full job description

The Garden Guardian (Derby) Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Gardener to join our team in the Derby area.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain private and commercial gardens: mowing, pruning, planting and bed care

- Operate gardening machinery: ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, blowers, chainsaws and other powered tools

- Seasonal work: lawn installations, mulching, weed control and feeding programmes

- Grounds maintenance: green waste removal, path upkeep and general site tidiness

- Assist with landscape projects and follow client briefs and health & safety procedures

Required skills & qualifications

- Full UK driving licence (category B)

- PA1 and PA6 certificates or equivalent experience

- Proven experience with powered equipment and chainsaws (relevant training desirable)

- Strong plant knowledge and practical gardening skills

- Good communication skills and professional attitude when dealing with clients

Other requirements

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all seasons

- Right to work in the UK

- Successful applicants may be required to undergo a DBS check and provide references

- Appropriate use of PPE when required
