Due to ongoing expansion I am looking for a gardener to join our small team.

The applicant must have experience or qualifications as a gardener or in grounds maintenance both residential and commercial, to work on new and existing gardens all around the Derbyshire area. We have a small maintenance round which I want to expand but there is also a landscaping side and you will be required to cover both aspects from time to time so experience in this area will be beneficial.

Our maintenance covers everything from grass cutting to garden clearance work and everything in between so the candidate must have good plant knowledge, a keen eye for detail and work to a high standard as we pride ourselves in a job well done. The candidate must also have great people skills and be reliable and trustworthy as our existing customers know and trust us well and our business is based on this.

Either self employed or employment options can be discussed.

This position requires a reliable individual, with their own transport ideally although a vehicle will be provided to get to the sites, who is able to work independently and is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Good rates of pay negotiable for the right person.

Responsibilities/work will include:

  • Lawn mowing and strimming.
  • Lawn treatments and moss clearing.
  • Weeding and raking of leaves.
  • Hedge cutting and trimming trees.
  • Water plants and flowers.
  • Pruning and dead heading of shrubs and flowers at the appropriate time.
