Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for nature and a desire to create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves working with various hand and power tools, performing groundskeeping tasks, and ensuring the health and vitality of plants through effective irrigation and landscape maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, weeding, and maintaining gardens.
  • Perform regular groundskeeping duties to keep outdoor areas tidy and presentable.
  • Grow a variety of plants, flowers, and shrubs while ensuring they receive appropriate care.
  • Implement effective irrigation systems to maintain optimal moisture levels in the soil.
  • Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and mulching.
  • Monitor plant health and identify any signs of disease or pest infestation, taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and enhance garden layouts that meet aesthetic goals.

Experience

  • Previous experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of plant care techniques including watering, fertilising, and pest control is advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in horticulture and a willingness to learn about various gardening practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
