Exciting Opportunity for a Horticulturist.
Join our thriving garden management company as we seek skilled and dedicated horticulturists to join our esteemed team in Essex. As a Horticulturist, you will play a pivotal role in the maintenance and enhancement of our diverse portfolio of client gardens and commercial grounds.

About You:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in maintaining gardens and grounds within contractual timeframes, possess the ability to design and implement planting schemes, and uphold a high standard of horticultural practice. A proactive and flexible approach, coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with recognized horticultural qualifications and professional experience in private gardens and/or commercial grounds.

Responsibilities:
As a Horticulturist, your day-to-day duties will include:
- General maintenance, development, and presentation of gardens or grounds
- Competence in lawn care and soft landscaping
- Plant bed and border maintenance: planting, mulching, pruning, cultivation, watering, and weed control
- Assisting with the transportation of plants, tools, equipment, and heavy loads
- Utilizing a range of equipment and machinery for strimming, mowing, leaf blowing, hedge cutting, and tree works
- Designing and planning planting schemes for gardens and grounds
- Supervising Trainee Horticulturists
- Building client relationships, maintaining and enhancing client satisfaction
Candidate Requirements:
- Good knowledge of plants, plant botanical names, horticultural techniques, and pest and diseases
- Minimum of 2 years of professional gardening experience
- Familiarity with garden equipment and machinery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cooperative and enthusiastic nature
- Confident in client communication and query resolution
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Attention to detail and pride in work
- Maintains a high standard of work
- Creative, innovative, and efficient at work
- Conscientious, organized, with good time management skills
- Eagerness to develop in the role and undertake training
