JOB TITLE: Gardening Services / Scarification / Hollow Tine Aeration / Lawn Operative

Temporary to Permanent position for the right candidate, to start mid February

Temporary would be mid February to the end of October

LOCATION: Base Heywood

Job Function

To carry out planned services on customer's lawns, ie. seasonal treatments, scarifying, hollow tining etc. Distributing invoices, sales literature and collecting payments as necessary.

Key Requirements:

· Must be physically fit as this role involves heavy, manual labour.

· No criminal convictions

· An understanding and desire to follow company wide set methodologies and processes

· Demonstrable experience of offering outstanding customer service

· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

· The ability to multitask, prioritise workload, to work under pressure and to deadlines

· Reliable and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic, capable of employing a large degree of common sense.

· Experience of driving a company vehicle is preferred but not essential

· PA1 & PA6 Spray Licences preferred but not essential

· A genuine desire to learn is ESSENTIAL

· A Full UK Licence with no more than 3 points is required to drive a Company vehicle

Customer Service

Ensure that customer service is of the highest level, carrying out procedures and treatments accurately as trained and planned. Presenting oneself in a professional manner in company clothing, fulfilling the day-to-day liaison with customers.

Paperwork and Administration

Fully complete necessary documentation accurately, particularly customer payments and products used.

Health & Safety

Ensure that all necessary Health & Safety requirements are fulfilled, in respect of customers, colleagues and yourself. Particularly in respect to COSHH & movement of goods

Sundry Tasks

Generating interest & leads with customers, including leaflet distribution.

Ensuring all equipment including vehicle are always cleaned and maintained in good working order.

To be flexible in working arrangements, assisting in other aspects of the company as necessary.

Flexible Working Arrangement

The working week is five days. On average 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) between the hours of 7.30 am and 6.00 pm.

If we cannot work due to the weather, you will be required to re-schedule any work for that day to ensure that all work is completed within the required timescale. Other duties will need to be completed as necessary.

Contract length: 8.5 months

Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
