Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Shop Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills and gain experience in retail operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily shop activities, assisting customers, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This paid position is ideal for individuals looking to start /continue their career in retail or customer service.

Duties

• Greeting customers warmly and providing excellent customer service
• Assisting customers with product enquiries and guiding them around the shop
• Operating the till system and processing transactions accurately
• Restocking shelves and organizing displays to ensure a tidy shopping environment
• Managing stock levels and reporting low inventory items to management
• Supporting the team with general shop maintenance and cleanliness
• Assisting with promotional activities and special events within the shop

Experience

• Previous experience in customer service or retail is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
• Administrative experience, such as managing records or data entry, will be considered an advantage
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are required to create a positive shopping experience
