Gardening Team Leader – Stock Gardens Ltd

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Gardening Team Leader to join the Stock Gardens team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be leading a small team to deliver high-quality garden and landscape maintenance services to our customers.

You’ll be working outdoors, using your horticultural knowledge and leadership skills to make sure every garden is maintained to the highest standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage a small gardening team on a variety of garden maintenance projects
  • Organise and allocate daily tasks, ensuring all work is completed to company standards
  • Carry out all aspects of garden maintenance: planting, pruning, weeding, lawn care, hedge cutting, mulching, and soil preparation
  • Use and maintain a wide range of gardening machinery and tools
  • Spot plant health issues (pests, diseases) and take action
  • Provide great customer service, liaising with clients when required
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed on every job
  • Help plan and implement new garden layouts and features

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance
  • Experience leading or supervising a team (preferred)
  • Strong horticultural knowledge and plant care skills
  • Confident using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
