Property Maintenance Person – Glynn Court Care Home, Fordingbridge

OakRay Care Group Ltd is a family‑run care provider operating across the Isle of Wight and the New Forest. We specialise in high‑quality residential care for older adults, and we are committed to making a positive difference to our residents’ lives every single day. We currently operate four care homes: three on the Isle of Wight and one in Fordingbridge.

Our staff are our greatest asset. We look for people who genuinely want to make an impact and bring care, pride, and reliability to their work.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Maintenance Person to join our friendly and supportive team at Glynn Court Care Home.

About Glynn Court

Glynn Court provides accommodation and personal care for up to 31 residents aged 65+, including individuals living with dementia or physical health needs. The home has a warm, family feel — and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment is essential to the wellbeing of our residents.

This role covers the general maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring the building and grounds remain safe, functional, and well‑presented.

You will need practical skills in:

  • Clean and maintain extractor fans?
  • Fit handrails?

If you can do any of the above, we’d love to hear from you.

Gardening & Outdoor Maintenance

The role also includes maintaining the garden areas — lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, and general upkeep to keep the grounds looking their best. Experience using gardening equipment is essential, as our residents enjoy spending time outdoors during good weather.

Who We’re Looking For

We’d like to hear from someone who:

  • Has experience in a maintenance‑related field
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic, and takes pride in their work
  • Has a caring nature and good communication skills
  • Enjoys being part of a supportive team

This is a 30‑hour‑per‑week position.
