Adam Sidford Gardens are recruiting for an Assistant Head Gardener (40 hours/five days a week).

The family history can be traced back to Bridzor Farm in Wiltshire, where the surrounding landscape and gardens were always at the heart of the Sidford’s way of life.

What makes Adam Sidford Gardens unique is the ability to cover all garden requirements, from start to finish. This may start with a complete garden overhaul, complete with a new design and landscaping. Followed by ongoing garden maintenance.

The Role

General tasks for this role include:

• Maintaining herbaceous borders
• Shrub pruning
• Hedge cutting
• Grass cutting
• Planting
• Driving vans and 4x4s
• Assisting the landscaping team if required

The Candidate

Due to the high standards of our clients we require an individual who has a true passion for gardens and plants. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Two year's experience gardening for a high quality company
• A love of plants and the outdoors
• Motivation to gain knowledge and career progression
• Strong knowledge of common shrubs and flowers
• Ability to identify weeds in perennial flower beds
• Proficient in using garden machinery (lawn mower, hedge cutter and strimmer)
• Confident working on a ladder
• Willing to attend CPD courses
• Driving licence
• Ability to commute to Fordingbridge

In return we offer a salary of £29,000 per annum, pension contribution, 28 days paid holiday.
