Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Horticultural Expert responsible for helping to deliver and maintain gardens of RHS Show quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills and a proven ability to manage gardens, as well as people, effectively. The role will be a hands on, on the ground position that will include, but not be limited to, the planting of bespoke construction projects, specialist pruning, general garden maintenance, whilst always maintaining a safe working environment- A passion for plants is a must!

We are also seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman. If you have the ability to create beautiful gardens and are able to build walls, lay patios, lay driveways and construct ponds, please also get in touch- RHS Qualification not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Help supervise daily operations and manage the on site workforce to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and project requirements.
  • Monitor work progress, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers and other stakeholders regarding project status and any issues that arise.
  • Look after our kit as if it were your own, company vehicles included.

Requirements

  • RHS Level 2 or more.
  • Proven experience within the horticultural industry.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to ensuring quality control throughout all stages of the project.

Our Foremen and women are supplied with a van, uniform, and all tools for the job. We pay by the hour, inclusive of time travelled in company vehicles.

Wage agreed will depend on experience and ability to fulfil the role.
