From fixing a door to painting a wall, assembling furniture to carrying out general repairs, our Handy Person role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and loves solving problems.

At Team Pennine, we're looking for a practical, reliable and proactive Handy Person to help keep our depots, offices and facilities looking their best and operating safely.

No two days are the same, and that's exactly how we like it.

  • Got a bus licence? You'll be on £16.70 per hour

What will you be doing?

As our Handy Person, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our sites safe, clean, functional and professional.

Your duties may include:

  • General building repairs and maintenance
  • Painting and decorating
  • Basic carpentry and joinery repairs
  • Replacing lighting and minor electrical fittings (where competent to do so)
  • Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
  • Building and moving furniture
  • Assisting with depot and site upkeep
  • Supporting facilities projects and improvements

What we're looking for

  • Experience in general maintenance, facilities or property repairs
  • Skills across a range of trades such as painting, carpentry or basic plumbing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your workload
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • Pride in delivering high standards of work
  • A full UK driving licence
