Relationship Manager – UK & Ireland

Nichibo is an established Japanese vehicle export company, supplying vehicles to dealerships across the UK, Ireland and other international markets.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Relationship Manager to join our growing UK & Ireland team, based at our office in King's Lynn, Norfolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in the automotive industry, strong interpersonal skills and a desire to develop their career within an established international business.

Previous experience in the automotive industry is essential, ideally within vehicle sales or a dealership environment. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of vehicles, strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with dealership customers.

About the Role

As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vehicle dealerships throughout the UK and Ireland.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role involving regular visits to dealerships, supporting existing customers and introducing new businesses to Nichibo's Japanese vehicle sourcing and export services.

While based at our King's Lynn office, you will spend a significant amount of time travelling to meet customers throughout the UK. The role will also involve approximately six trips to Ireland each year.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealership customers.
• Visit dealerships regularly to understand their businesses, vehicle requirements and purchasing preferences.
• Identify and develop relationships with new dealerships across the UK and Ireland.
• Assist customers with enquiries relating to vehicle purchasing, Japanese auctions and the import process.
• Work closely with Nichibo's international teams to provide customers with a high standard of service.
• Help grow Nichibo's customer base and presence throughout the UK and Ireland.
• Stay informed about vehicle trends and developments in the automotive market.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in the automotive industry and a good general understanding of vehicles.
• Is friendly, approachable and confident communicating with customers.
• Has previous experience in the automotive industry, ideally in vehicle sales, dealership operations or another customer-facing automotive role.
• Enjoys building relationships and meeting new people.
• Is self-motivated, organised and able to manage their own workload.
• Is comfortable travelling regularly and spending time on the road.
• Is enthusiastic about learning more about Japanese vehicles, auctions and the import industry.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.

Experience in vehicle sales or a dealership environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of Japanese vehicles and the import industry would be an advantage.
