Full job description

Role: Working Site Foreman

Location: Various sites, primarily Norwich/Norfolk Norfolk

PAYE or Freelance/Subcontractor Basis

Reporting to: Contracts Manager/Project Manager

The hourly rate is dependent on PAYE or self employed basis.

An excellent opportunity for a Foreman with a solid background in on site works, to join a well established construction company who have a strong pipeline of residential projects coming in Norfolk. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable previous experience within the residential or heritage sectors, looking to join a growing company and progress their career.

ROLE SUMMARY

· This role works hand-in-hand with the Contracts Manager/Projects Manager to provide King & Company with a rounded and effective contract management function

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Management

Manage the programme of works for each contract including:

· Ensuring work is to the required quality

· Labour planning and onsite management

· Variations tracking

· Ensuring adherence to plan

· AI and RFI tracking

· Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Managing Director, as required

Site

· Implementing company systems and procedures and working to improve upon standards of service

· Identifying cost savings, income maximisation and overhead reductions wherever possible

· Taking the appropriate responsibility for site security

· Ordering of materials as required

Health & Safety

Taking the appropriate responsibility for:

· Implementation of Health and Safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments

· Compliance with all other relevant safety and trading regulations

· Communication to the team of all health and safety and other relevant regulatory requirements

General

· Ensuring King & Company is represented in a positive and professional manner to customers, suppliers and visitors and any other person

· Undertaking general administration as well as accurate maintenance of filing and database system for both manual and computerised records

· Participating in any training programme as agreed with the company

· Following company procedures as shown in Employee Handbook

· Adhering to data protection, GDPR, environmental and other industry and statutory guidance

· Undertaking any reasonable task as required by the company from time to time

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a site foreman or in a similar supervisory role in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Relevant certifications in construction safety and site management i.e. SMSTS or similar.

Pay: £17.00-£25.00 per hour
