An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Law Paralegal at our Stockton office. This position would be ideally suited to a law graduate who is looking to gain experience, with the potential for career development within the firm.

The successful candidate will be assisting fee earners in the Family department with their caseloads, including drafting of statements, reviewing expert reports and correspondence with clients. It also includes attending with clients at child protection conferences and public law outline meetings, and advocating on their behalf. Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting other fee earners with managing files.
  • Using a case management system for maintaining files.
  • Dealing with clients, both in person and on the telephone, in a confident manner providing clear, accurate and up to date information.
  • Drafting statements.
  • Reviewing documents including medical records and expert reports.
  • Attending child protection conferences and public law outline meetings with clients
