We're looking for an experienced HR People Partner to join our People Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys building strong relationships, coaching managers and making a genuine difference to the colleague experience.

If you're passionate about employee relations, enjoy solving complex people challenges and want to be part of a business that values collaboration, development and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As our HR People Partner, you'll provide expert advice and coaching to managers across our UK and Ireland retail estate and support functions. You'll partner closely with leaders to deliver practical, commercially focused HR solutions while ensuring our people are treated fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Independently managing a varied employee relations caseload including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and welfare matters.
  • Coaching and developing managers to build confidence in people management and decision-making.
  • Supporting business change, restructures and organisational development initiatives.
  • Building trusted relationships with managers across the business.
  • Delivering engaging HR training and workshops.
  • Promoting colleague engagement, wellbeing and an inclusive working environment.
  • Reviewing and developing HR policies and people processes.
  • Monitoring HR trends and using data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting recruitment activity, interviewing and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Contributing to wider People Team projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines excellent employment law knowledge with a pragmatic, people-focused approach, whilst keeping business objectives in mind.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an HR Business Partner or HR People Partner role.
  • Strong employee relations experience managing complex cases independently, coupled with an astute commercial mindset
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
  • Degree-level education (desirable).
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Experience coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong IT and HR systems skills.

Why join wed2b?

At wed2b, we're proud of our supportive culture and commitment to developing our people. You'll be joining a collaborative HR team where your ideas are valued, your development is supported and your work has a real impact on colleagues across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence positive change, support our managers and help create an exceptional colleague experience.
