Seasonal Handy Person. Edinburgh

Hourly Rate: £13.45

Contract: Fixed Term until 2nd October 2026, 40hours per week

Working Hours: 9am – 6pm, Monday - Friday

Our Seasonal Handy Person

Plays a critical role during the summer months, restoring, improving and maintaining our buildings to pristine conditions ahead of our next intake of Students from September onwards.

  • Painting & decorating.

  • Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

  • Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and performing scheduled maintenance tasks

  • General repairs, such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.

  • Performing minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch-up painting & decorating.

  • Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass-cutting & hedge-trimming/shaping.

  • Safety compliance. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.

  • Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions including painting & decorating

  • Well-versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment.

  • Demonstrable understanding and adherence of safety compliance regulations and procedures.

  • IT literate
