Job Overview

You will be working in a care home for the Elderly in Stourport on Severn.

As a Maintenance Handyman/woman, you will carry out practical maintenance tasks across a range of equipment and facilities. This part-time role is 25 hours per week and calls for a hands-on, safety-conscious approach, with the ability to work independently and support colleagues. Role the role is split as 5 hours per day 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment and facilities, identify maintenance needs and complete routine repairs.
  • Use mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to investigate faults, referring to schematics and programmable logic controllers where relevant.
  • Carry out welding and other practical repair work suited to your skills and the task.
  • Communicate clearly in English, respond helpfully to customer requests and coordinate work with colleagues.
  • Your impact: Timely repairs help colleagues work with dependable equipment and enable customers to receive consistent service.
  • Must be good with decorating, painting and have attention to detail

Qualifications

Required: Practical maintenance capability, mechanical knowledge, electrical experience and clear English communication will help you complete repairs and coordinate tasks safely.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
