Full job description

Clinical Safety Officer (DCB0160)

£23.52/hr + pro rata 25 days per year paid holiday (worth ~£3.31/hr) + NHSP pays for your Employer's NI (worth ~£4.97/hr) ==> ~£31.80/hr

37.5 hours per week

Hybrid : Mostly Work from home, required to go onsite for a few days a month

At least 6 months expected duration (extension likely)

Requirements

  • Ensure the Trust remains compliant with the DCB0160 Clinical Risk Management Standard and associated clinical safety requirements.
  • Lead the clinical risk management process throughout the deployment, implementation, use, maintenance, and decommissioning of health IT systems.
  • Continuously review, refine, and improve clinical risk management processes to ensure patient safety is maintained throughout periods of significant digital transformation and change.
  • Work collaboratively with Systems and IT teams to support and ensure the completion of all necessary activities required to achieve and maintain DCB0160 compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external Clinical Safety Officers (CSOs) to develop and maintain a professional network for sharing best practice, lessons learned, and effective approaches to clinical risk management.
  • Contribute to improving the Trust’s overall clinical safety maturity and compliance with the DCB0160 standard through effective governance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
