Care Quality Coordinator (Field-Based)

Home Instead York

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Quality Coordinator to join our growing, high-quality homecare team. This is a varied, predominantly field-based role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining and improving the standard of care delivered to our clients.

If you have experience in home care and enjoy supporting both clients and Care Professionals while ensuring high standards, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Working Pattern

  • 4 week days (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) plus 1 weekend in 3 (Saturday and Sunday)

About the Role

This is a 70% field-based / 30% office-based position.

You’ll spend most of your time out in the community visiting clients, supporting Care Professionals, and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered. The remainder of your time will be spent completing audits, updating records, and supporting compliance activities.

You will report to the Deputy Care Manager and work closely with the existing team of Care Quality Co-ordinator and the wider Care Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Client Care

  • Conduct client care visits (always minimum 1 hr visits)
  • Completing quality assurance checks
  • Ensure care plans are being followed and outcomes are achieved
  • Support client introductions and ongoing relationship building

Care Professional Support

  • Carry out observations (Care Certificate) and support visits
  • Complete return-to-work meetings
  • Provide guidance and feedback to maintain high standards

Medication & Compliance

  • Audit eMAR systems and client visit logs
  • Complete medication competency assessments
  • Ensure accurate and compliant record keeping

Risk & Safety

  • Conduct and review risk assessments
  • Monitor care delivery to ensure safety and best practice

Essential:
