GROUNDS MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER:

FULL-TIME, PERMANENT.

We are looking for a talented Grounds Maintenance Team Leader with a proven track record to join our family-run business based in Little Haywood, Stafford.

As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you will be required to service commercial grounds maintenance contracts to the highest quality. Your job will be to head up a team and supervise them daily.

You will be required to drive to sites, identify and prioritise tasks (working with internal managers and site mangers), and carry out grounds maintenance tasks. You will ensure you and your team are working to the highest quality whilst following company health & safety policies.

You will be required to undertake a range of different tasks and scheduled works on of sites in and around Staffordshire.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leading a team whilst undertaking grounds maintenance tasks
  • Must be able to use software to produce site reports
  • Driving to and from sites (required to tow)
  • Perform general grounds maintenance tasks such as push and ride on mowing, strimming, litter picking, hedge cutting, leaf clearing, etc
  • Weed spraying (PA1 & PA6 Spraying Licence essential)
  • Road gritting and snow clearing
  • Undertake all grounds maintenance works to specification, achieving the highest standards at all times
  • Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees in gardens and landscaped areas
  • Operate power tools and equipment such as ride on mowers, push mowers, trimmers, and blowers
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning

Skills:

  • Previous horticultural experience (essential)
  • UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Experience driving large vehicles/towing (essential)
  • Knowledge of groundskeeping practices and techniques
  • Ability to operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the proper care of outdoor spaces
