Housekeeper

Elliott House is a residential care home in Kings Norton, Birmingham, providing care for up to 54 residents, including those living with Dementia. We have dedicated staff who work on a person-centred approach, supporting residents in a respectful and empathic manner.

We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeper to join our friendly team. The role will require you to work within the team to ensure a high degree of cleanliness in all areas of the Home. If you are a compassionate person with a passion for delivering an exceptional level of care and cleanliness, we would love to hear from you.

This is a part time permanent position:

o 20 hours per week (4pm - 8pm)

o Location – Kings Norton, Birmingham

o £12.71 per hour

Overall duties include:

Ø Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene and infection control standards are maintained throughout the Home at all times

Ø Working within the domestic team

Ø Ensuring adherence to COSHH at all times

Ø Communication with residents and their families to ensure their needs and choices are met at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

Ø proven experience with housekeeping within a care home

Ø Previous experience with Dementia preferred

Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ø Knowledge of infection control, health and safety and COSHH guidelines

Ø Compassion, empathy and flexibility to meet the needs of the Home

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
