A Clinical Trials Technician is required to undertake procedures related to cosmetic, pharmaceutical and other dermatological clinical trials carried out at Cutest. We have 40 years experience working on behalf of well known beauty and medical companies to ensure products are safe and effective before they are available for sale. The position is one of supporting our graduate senior staff undertaking clinical measurements on human volunteers using a range of scientific instruments.

Aspects of the job include (but are not limited to):

• Using skin measurement devices to measure volunteers skin before and after cosmetic products have been applied in clinical studies.
• Assisting in the carrying out of studies by weighing products, setting up equipment for other staff, explaining procedures to volunteers, completing online documentation .
• Contacting volunteers on our database by phone and email to invite them to take part in studies.

This role would suit a science graduate, someone who has good GCSEs, A levels or other qualifications including a science or related subject, with an interest in learning about clinical research and the beauty industry. The ideal candidate is outgoing and happy to work closely with members of the public in a clinic environment, similar to a hospital ward.

The role is based at our Cardiff clinic and requires working onsite due to the nature of the role. Weekend and evening work will be a requirement sometimes as part of the role and flexible working is offered. We are a very busy clinic and you will be involved in multiple studies at one time. A flexible, detail focused approach is needed as our data is used by international companies that are household names. This is a great opportunity to get involved in clinical trials of beauty products.

This role could be of interest to pharmacy assistants, or people with some experience in the professional beauty industry, dental or health assistant or similar, but any suitable candidate will be considered. This could be an ideal job for school leavers or those who are looking to establish a career. Salary offered will be dependent on relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work, full DBS checks will be undertaken as a requirement of employment.
