Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
  • Assist with food handling, food preparation coordination, and bussing tables as needed to maintain a clean environment
  • Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for maximum efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining or nightclub backgrounds
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling techniques
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
  • Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess roles or related hospitality positions is highly desirable
  • Basic math skills for order calculations, billing, and inventory management
