Full job description

A fabulous opportunity to join the small housekeeping team in a unique 4* hotel in a role that is hands-on, and also allows you to demonstrate and develop your leadership and organisational skills. Working closely with the head housekeeper, you will help to lead the team in providing a consistently high standard of presentation, cleanliness and comfort in the guest bedrooms and public areas. In the managers absence you will deputise, taking ownership of the standards, schedules and management of the team.

Weekend working will be a regular part of this role, as this is our busiest time. Hours will be 5 days from 7 on a weekly schedule, with shifts rostered between 7am-4pm. The majority of shifts will be 9am-3pm. This role will offer a minimum of 30 guaranteed hours per week, with additional hours available according to business need.

Key Responsibilities:
-Help to lead the housekeeping team to uphold high cleanliness standards

-Assist daily with the cleaning of hotel bedrooms and public areas
- Coordinate housekeeping schedules and assignments
- Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness meets expectations
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
- Address guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences

Skills:
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in hotel settings
