Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our teams at Briery Wood, Cragwood and Merewood Country House Hotels, Windermere. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and guests. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous. A friendly attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential to provide a positive experience for all visitors.

Duties

  • Clean guest rooms and communal areas to company standards
  • Configure beds to accommodate the guests in each room
  • Change bed linens, organise supplies, and restock amenities as required
  • Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and polishing surfaces as well as any other tasks requested by senior staff
  • Assist with organisation of linen
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition and stored appropriately
  • Respond promptly to guest requests or special instructions with professionalism and courtesy
  • Maintain health and safety standards at all times by adhering to established protocols

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
  • A friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
