IN PERSON POSITION - B45 - Please do not apply unless you are happy to travel to site everyday: you will need to be within one hour commute to B45. This role covers one school site.

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments? We’re looking for an experienced T2 / Second Line IT Field Technician to join our team and hit the ground running.

In this role, you’ll provide onsite Second Line IT support across schools within approx. one hour commute to B45, helping staff keep systems running smoothly and ensuring our customers receive the excellent service they expect. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking, rapidly growing IT company headquartered in Wolverhampton.

Duties:

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
- Set up and manage user accounts and access permissions
- Monitor and analyse network performance, including VPN, LAN, DNS, and Firewall
- Collaborate with team members to resolve IT issues and implement solutions
- Document and track support tickets using our ticketing system, Freshdesk
- Assist with software installations and updates
- Conduct daily system maintenance tasks, such as backups and updates

What we need - please do not apply if you do not meet all of the criteria below

  • Level 4 industry specific qualification
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of InTune
  • Demonstratable experience with platforms such as Windows Server, Office365, Google Workspace, Windows Operating System, Android, and iOS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Proficiency in computer hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, LANs, DNS, and Firewalls
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users with technical problems in a way that respects our values and ethos
  • Resilience, compassion, flexibility and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Minimum two years of experience working in an in person/field Second Line IT support role
  • Methodical and well organised
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and access to own vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Wiling to commute - the school is based within approx. one hour commute of B45. Before applying please ensure you are within a one hour commutable distance
