Burngreave Building Company Ltd is a rapidly growing construction and insurance reinstatement contractor, delivering high-quality property repairs and insurance claim reinstatement services across domestic and commercial properties.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Experienced Insurance Works Planner / Claims Coordinator to join our expanding team at our Head Office in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in property insurance claims, construction, or small works management who is looking to join a forward-thinking and supportive business.

The Role

You will play a key role in managing insurance reinstatement claims from instruction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer service and meeting client service level agreements (SLAs).

Working alongside surveyors, contract managers, you will coordinate repairs, manage claim documentation and ensure projects costing and collecting material choices from policyholder .

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage property insurance claims
  • Coordinate the diaries of field-based surveyors and operational teams.
  • Prepare and review detailed scopes of work for reinstatement projects.
  • Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, clients and policyholders.
  • Submit claims, variations and supporting documentation through client portals.
  • Manage DFE submissions, interim payments and claim finances.
  • Monitor claims against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Update and maintain claims management systems such as Symbility pulse, Xactimate or similar claims management software
  • Coordinate internal trades and approved subcontractors.
  • Collate surveys, photographs, health & safety documentation and claim information.
  • Ensure final accounts are prepared accurately and invoiced promptly.
  • Deliver excellent customer service throughout the lifecycle of each claim.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers during what can often be a stressful and distressing time.

Experience & Skills Required

We're looking for someone who has experience within the insurance reinstatement or construction industry and understands the importance of delivering quality repairs alongside excellent customer service.

Essential:

  • Experience within the property insurance claims sector.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial building repairs.
  • Experience managing insurance reinstatement projects.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and detailed scopes of works.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Knowledge of building construction and repair methods.

Desirable:

  • Experience using Symbility, Pulse, Xactimate or similar claims management software.
  • Experience working with insurers and loss adjusters.
  • Knowledge of insurance perils including:
  • Fire
  • Flood
  • Escape of Water
  • Storm Damage

  • Subsidence
