Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Operations Manager to lead our team and oversee daily business operations. In this pivotal role, you will drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency. Your leadership will ensure that all aspects of the plant run smoothly, from managing staff to optimising production and efficiencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by implementing innovative strategies and inspiring your team to achieve their best. Duties

  • Lead and supervise daily operations across multiple departments, ensuring seamless coordination and productivity.
  • Manage team performance through coaching, mentoring, and motivating staff to meet organisational goals.
  • Ensure the Health, Safety and wellbeing of the plant team.
  • Oversee inventory management functions
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, manage administrative tasks, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Ensure adhere to environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, sales, and other site plant managers.
  • Monitor production performance metrics, analyse data for continuous improvement, and drive initiatives to boost team success.
  • P&L responsibility (Revenue and EBITDA)
  • A commitment to achieve 100% OTIF

Qualifications

  • Degree educated (Physics/ Electrical advantageous).
  • Working knowledge of mechanical/ electrical engineering
  • Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward shared objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Administrative experience including record keeping, reporting, and process optimisation is advantageous.

Travel across UK sites may be required
