Full job description

We are looking for an organised, capable and creatively minded Creative Business & Operations Assistant to work closely with the founder of a small portfolio of established businesses within the jewellery and creative industries.

The businesses span education, consultancy, e-commerce, media and retail. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working across different projects and can take an idea or loose brief and turn it into something organised and finished.

This is not a traditional admin or VA role. We are looking for someone with initiative, good judgement and the ability to work independently.

Duties

  • Coordinating projects, deadlines, launches, events and calendars
  • Supporting masterclasses, workshops, podcasts and events
  • Liaising with guest speakers, designers, suppliers and collaborators
  • Preparing emails, newsletters, social content and other communications
  • Organising digital files, resources and recordings
  • Updating websites and product information
  • Supporting e-commerce and social media activity
  • Researching suppliers, opportunities, events and potential collaborators
  • Following up on outstanding tasks and information
  • Taking ownership of projects and making sure things get done

Requirements

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Good project management and time management skills
  • Confident communicating with different people and managing relationships
  • Comfortable using digital tools and learning new systems
  • Good visual judgement and an interest in jewellery, fashion, design or the creative industries
  • Commercially aware and able to understand priorities
  • Reliable, proactive and good at following things through

Previous experience in a creative business, small business, studio, project coordination, operations, marketing or a similar role would be useful.

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 10.0 per week
