Watch Specialist & Retail Assistant

GA Jewellers & Pawnbrokers – Full Time

GA Jewellers & Pawnbrokers is a family-run independent jewellers and pawnbrokers based on the South Coast. We are looking for an experienced Watch Specialist to join our friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for luxury watches who enjoys advising customers, buying and selling timepieces, and providing outstanding customer service. While watches will be a key focus of the role, you will also support the day-to-day running of our busy retail store and help manage our growing online presence.

About the Role

As our Watch Specialist & Retail Assistant, you will:

  • Advise customers on buying and selling luxury watches and jewellery.
  • Assess, value and purchase pre-owned watches.
  • Build relationships with customers and provide expert product knowledge.
  • Create high-quality product listings for watches and jewellery on Shopify, eBay and Chrono24.
  • Manage and maintain our online inventory across multiple sales platforms, ensuring listings are accurate, well-presented and up to date.
  • Photograph, describe and upload products for online sale.
  • Process online orders and respond to customer enquiries relating to online sales.
  • Assist with the presentation and merchandising of watches and jewellery in-store.
  • Support general retail duties, including serving customers, processing sales and maintaining high shop standards.
  • Assist with our jewellery and pawnbroking services (training provided where required).

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in the jewellery, luxury watch or pawnbroking industry (essential).
  • Have a strong interest in luxury watches with excellent product knowledge.
  • Have experience using online sales platforms such as Shopify, eBay, Chrono24 or similar marketplace systems.
  • Be confident creating product listings, taking quality product photographs and managing online stock.
  • Be confident in a customer-facing retail environment.
  • Be trustworthy, reliable and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
  • Be computer literate, including Microsoft Office.
  • Have excellent communication and sales skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
  • Be smart, professional and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.
