Role Description This is a full-time role for a Patient Liaison Officer at Chatham Eye Clinic and Surgical Centre. The Patient Liaison Officer will be based in our Central Patient Booking Team and will be responsible for booking in NHS and private patients onto our services across multiple clinic locations in Kent.

Responsibilities include answering and making calls to patients, giving patients a choice of treatment locations and booking them into our treatment diaries.

You will be dealing with referrals coming in from GPs and optical practices, preparing patient correspondence and improving access to CES Medical’s services within our local communities.

Skillset

  • You will possess strong skills in administration
  • You will not be afraid of working predominantly on the phone and will have a great phone manner
  • Have good written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to deal with confidential information
  • Show great attention to detail
  • Portray a proactive attitude while being open to new challenges
  • Have demonstrated experience in Customer Management and providing high levels of customer service
  • Previous experience in ophthalmology or a related healthcare field would be advantageous
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Display an empathy-driven approach with a commitment to high-quality care
  • Be target driven and open to achieving set goals
  • Display strong skills in IT to include Excel and use of Microsoft; experience in Rego or e-RS systems would be a bonus but not a must as training will be provided.
