The Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Senior Land Referencer, to assist our Land Referencing team in supporting our expanding client base to deliver nationally significant projects. You will get the opportunity to work in office and on-site on a wide range of renewables and infrastructure projects, undertaking land referencing activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting the promotion of CPO and DCO campaigns
  • Title interrogation of UK Land Registers
  • Land Data Management
  • Application of B&P’s thorough land referencing methodologies to demonstrate diligent enquiry ahead of consultant and application submission
  • Site Visits
  • Basic use of GIS
  • Supporting the land team during Survey Access campaign

Key Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualified in Geography or a similarly related discipline
  • Basic understanding of the different enabling acts that promote DCO and CPOs in the UK
  • Experience aiding the production of statutory compliant Book of Reference and Schedules
  • Good understanding of His Majesty’s Land Registry, Registers of Scotland and the General Register of Sasines
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Accurate record Keeping
  • An eye for details and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good title interrogation skills, especially within the Sasine Register

Location – The role will involve a mix of working from home and in our offices across Scotland.

Hours – Full time (37.5 hours)

Contract Type – Permanent (6 months probationary period)

Salary – Competitive

Bonus – An annual Bonus will be payable for each year of employment

Pension contributions – Matched up to 7% of salary

Private Medical Cover – Membership of the company scheme

Life Cover – Membership of the company scheme is provided

Holidays – 37 per annum incl. bank holidays
