The Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Principal Land Referencing Consultant, to assist our Land Information team, in supporting our expanding client base. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on land referencing campaigns on some of the largest Renewables and Infrastructure projects in England and Wales. You will have the opportunity to build and nurture a team of Land Referencing specialists who will work on some of the most nationally significant schemes in the renewables, transport and networks sector. We are therefore looking for an ambitious candidate with an excellent understanding of statutory processes and relevant legislation who would like to make their mark on a growing business.

Main Responsibilities, Skills & Experience Required:

- Project manage land referencing deliverables to support land assembly directives across renewables, transport and network projects.

- Ability to resource potential candidates in order to grow B&P Land Referencing team in England and Wales by building upon networks within the land assembly industry.

- Able to build strong relationships with existing clients.

- Able to seek and win work by input into tender documents, providing accurate and realistic cost estimates and through recommendations from existing clients.

- Able to provide feedback sessions to junior members of the team to ensure B&P high quality deliverables and business practices are upheld.

- Lead on the delivery of Land Referencing tasks for a variety of schemes at different stages with an ability to advise the client on the best approach.

- Ability to ensure Land Referencing deliverables adhere to client’s project programme.

- Degree qualified in Geography or a similarly related discipline

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Accurate record keeping

- Good understanding of the different enabling acts that promote CPO, DCO, TWAO and Hybrid Bills in the UK.

Other desirable skills:

- Knowledge and experience using GIS software

- Full UK driving licence

Further Details

Location – The role will involve a mix of working from home and in our offices across England.

Hours – Full time (37 hours)

Contract Type – Permanent (6 months probationary period)

Salary – Competitive

Bonus – An annual Bonus will be payable for each year of employment

Pension contributions – Matched up to 7% of salary
