Overview
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Festival Hair Braider & Glitter Artist to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase creative hairstyling and glitter artistry at lively festival events. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for beauty, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create fun, eye-catching looks that enhance festival experiences. Previous experience in store management, hair dressing/styling, or makeup application is advantageous, along with strong communication skills and a flair for upselling products and services. All roles are paid, including internships, ensuring valuable professional experience in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create hair braids suitable for festival settings, ensuring client satisfaction and safety.
  • Apply glitter designs and decorative elements to clients’ hair and face, enhancing their festival look.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage front desk duties such as processing payments, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Offer product recommendations and upsell related accessories or beauty products to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work stations, tools, and supplies throughout each shift.
  • Assist with stall management tasks when required, including stock replenishment and visual merchandising.

Experience

  • Proven experience in stall management or retail environments is preferred.
  • Skills in hair dressing, beauty, or makeup application are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working as a hair stylist or glitter artist at festivals or events is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity in hairstyling, glitter artistry and stall set up while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
