Radiotherapy Service Manager
London, The Harley Street Clinic
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm on site.
Permanent
Salary: Competitive.
We’re looking for a Radiotherapy Service Manager to join our Oncology services at The Harley Street Clinic in London, one of the UK’s leading private cancer centres. This is a senior leadership role within a highly specialised radiotherapy service, supporting people through complex and often life‑changing treatment with care, clarity and compassion. Based across our Harley Street sites, you’ll lead an established and skilled team where clinical excellence, strong teamwork and thoughtful leadership sit at the heart of everything we do, alongside continued investment in advanced technology and a positive, inclusive culture.
As Radiotherapy Service Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day leadership and operational management of the radiotherapy service, with a wider remit that spans quality, governance, finance and service development. Working closely with Consultants, Radiotherapy Physics and senior clinical and operational colleagues, you’ll provide visible and credible leadership across multidisciplinary teams. Balancing hands‑on clinical expertise with strategic oversight, you’ll help shape service development, optimise pathways and support the radiographer workforce to deliver safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a complex and evolving clinical environment.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the operational and clinical delivery of the Radiotherapy service, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care at all times
- Provide strong, visible leadership to radiotherapy colleagues, supporting performance, engagement, development and a positive team culture
- Take accountability for quality, governance and regulatory compliance, including radiation safety, audits, incident management and inspection readiness
- Manage service performance, capacity, workforce planning and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and accurate revenue capture
- Drive service improvement and development, contributing to strategic planning, pathway redesign and the introduction of new technologies and ways of working
What you’ll bring:
- HCPC registration and a BSc in Radiotherapy
- Significant senior clinical leadership experience within radiotherapy, including superintendent or equivalent level responsibility
- Strong operational management capability, with experience of managing complex services and multidisciplinary teams
- Sound knowledge of radiotherapy governance, quality standards, radiation legislation and regulatory frameworks
- The confidence to make clear, fair and compassionate decisions, with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
