We carry out high-quality paint preparation, refinishing and rectification work on new and existing yacht components, where attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship are essential.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for Paintshop Technicians to join our experienced team.

The Role

Working alongside our painters and finishers, you’ll be responsible for preparing components ready for paint. This includes sanding, masking, filling and carrying out any preparation work required to achieve a high-quality finish.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in what they do and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Sand and prepare GRP and composite components ready for paint.
  • Mask components accurately to a high standard.
  • Fill and fair imperfections where required.
  • Assist painters throughout the refinishing process.
  • Inspect components and ensure they meet our quality standards before painting.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
  • Keep your work area clean, organised and safe.
  • Work efficiently as part of a busy paintshop team.

What We’re Looking For

  • A good work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Experience in paint preparation, automotive, marine, composites, manufacturing or a similar hands-on role is preferred.
  • Spray painting experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

What We Offer

  • Overtime opportunities.
  • Holiday pay and pension.
  • Full training where required.
  • Long-term career opportunities.
  • Friendly, experienced team.

If you’re hardworking, reliable and want to be part of a professional paintshop producing high-quality work, we’d like to hear from you.
