Overview

Due to expansion, we are seeking a motivated and skilled Powered Access and Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of equipment, apply your mechanical and electrical skills, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. We are looking for a candidate with experience in some or all of our plant range. Training can be given to some areas if limited experience. Our equipment ranges are:

· Powered Access

· Forklift Trucks

· Compressors

· Generators

· Welders

· Avants

· Small Plant

Duties

  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Perform repairs.
  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs or modifications.
  • Assemble new equipment components or modify existing machinery to meet operational specifications.
  • Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and maintenance schedules for all equipment serviced.

Experience

  • Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of plant machinery.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and metalworking to repair or modify equipment parts.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, power tools, hand tools, and assembly processes related to heavy machinery.
  • Familiarity with operating and repairing a range of plant machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Working Hours - 2 week rotation

Week 1: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5pm
