Regulatory Compliance & Clinical Governance Pharmacist
£65,000–£75,000 + performance bonus | Permanent, full-time | Ilford, Greater London (hybrid)

A new role for a pharmacist who has built it before

We’re a fast-growing online healthcare and distance-selling pharmacy, and we’re creating a brand-new role to lead our regulatory compliance and clinical governance. There’s no existing framework to inherit. You’ll build it, working directly with our Directors and with a clear path to becoming our Superintendent Pharmacist.

This role suits someone who has already written the regulatory paperwork that allows a private or online pharmacy to supply Prescription-Only Medicines safely and legally, and who is comfortable doing it with minimal support.

What you’ll do

  • Write, approve and own the clinical questionnaires, risk assessments, PGDs, protocols and SOPs for our online services
  • Keep us inspection-ready for both the GPhC and CQC, and lead our response to any findings
  • Audit prescribing decisions, and lead on recalls, safety alerts and incident investigations
  • Advise the Directors on safe, compliant ways to launch new services
  • Work regular on-site shifts as Responsible Pharmacist, leading and developing our dispensary team

What you’ll bring (essential)

  • GPhC registration in good standing, with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Proven, hands-on experience of creating regulatory documents for a private or online pharmacy service: for example, writing the risk assessments, questionnaires, protocols or SOPs that allowed a POM service to go live
  • Working knowledge of the GPhC’s guidance for pharmacies providing services at a distance, CQC standards and UK medicines law
  • Confidence working independently in a new role and advising senior leaders

Strong advantages

  • Superintendent Pharmacist or governance lead experience

Pay: £65,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
